||Congratulations to Andy Davies
who crewed the winning boat in the 2016 GP World
Championships that have just been completed in
Barbados. The Blithfield boat sailed by Richard
Instone & Jim Toothill came in 9th.
A very impressive result in a fleet of 105 boats.

|Congratulations to Andy Davis & Alex
Warren who have won the Blithfield Barrel for
2015-16. They were followed home by Matt Biggs
& John Hackett. A result that went down to
the last race of a beautifully sunny winter day.
The first single hander was Jim Hunt in his OK
(4th) followed by Mike Gibson (5th) in a

||The final round of the Barrel series takes
place this Sunday. Things are fairly open with
Andy Davies and Alex Warren sitting atop the
results with several others waiting to pounce if
given an opportunity. All top 10 places are also
vulnerable. The long range forecast is not yet
predicting the arrival of Storm Jonah so we are
hoping to see as many entrants return as
possible. Can you knock Taxi off his perch?

by Andy Couch (Phantom) in his first visit to the
2015/16 series. Second race won by Osprey helmed

||Only two boats over duing the gale last
night. The club
anemometer measured a max of 74mph. A chart for the
evening from a local anemometer (5 fields
away) confirms that this is a credible reading.

Handicap race is abandoned.
Class race will commence commence at about - but
not before 14:30. The second race will follow
after a short break.

Staffordshire Ironman event is still in progress

members wishing to access the Club
