Welcome to Blithfield Sailing Club. Located on the largest reservoir in Staffordshire. We are open to new members, welcome beginners and as a RYA recognised training centre, we run training courses for juniors and adults of all abilities. For the more experienced, we have a comprehensive club racing programme and host Open Meetings for classes represented at the club. Our venue benefits from easy access to the water and clear winds, we sail dinghies and windsurfers, wingsurfers & radio controlled boats all year round and look forward to giving you a warm welcome.

Where are we?

From the B5014, turn into Seedcroft Lane (signed BSC). Follow Seedcroft Lane for approx 3/4 mile & you will come to a left turn (Waters Road). Take this turn, continue through the gates past South Staffs Water Buildings then turn right into BSC as soon as you see the dam. Please do not try to approach the club from the B5013 as the lanes are twisty & narrow.

Seedcroft Lane is a single track road & a local walking route, with many users having children and / or dogs with them. Please slow down to walking pace as you pass them. You may want to make a stop at 'Cobwebs' for a coffee & slice of cake, or even a pizza!!

The reservoir totals 790 acres of clean water, which is split into two sections by a causeway. We sail inside limit marks during the summer months which results in approximately 120 acres. For open meetings this is temporarily extended to 180 acres. During the winter months, we make full use of the water, with the sailing area being extended, resulting in an extensive 300 acres.
