The Sailboard Fleet
Sailboard fleet captain:

Sailboards are more than welcome at Blithfield. The large water means that the wind direction usually allows for some fast reaching, although you will probably need to master water starts eventually as you can't land on the other shores during the fishing season.

You can sail on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sundays until 1 hour before sunset. Safety boat cover is provided on Sunday throughout the year and on Saturdays and Wednesday evenings during the Summer. If two or more want to sail without a safety boat, you can use the 'buddy' system. Racing sometimes happens but you don't have to be that serious (or good for that matter) to have a go.

Pop down on a windy day, have a look round and chat to anybody messing about.
