Service Description
RYA Improve Your Wingsurfing Wingsurf & Wingfoil – Teaching Progression Sessions – these are sequential sessions (no shortcuts) and most likely will require practise prior to the next stage. Session 1 - RYA Learn to Wingsurf Course – Beginner - introduction to kit, basic wing handling, sail across the wind, basic turnaround, safety aspects. **Session 2 – RYA Improve Your Wingsurf -Improver- making progress upwind & downwind, holding power into the gybe, first tacks, switch stance & pumping. Session 3 – RYA Wingfoil, First Flights – Intermediate - foil kit, safety, launch & land, sail the small board off foil, first flights (the airborne photo snapshot) Session 4 – RYA Wingfoil, Sustained Flights – Advanced - control flight longer, upwind/downwind S’s, control wing power & board height, first gybe entries. Session 5 – Performance Flights Coaching - Advanced – Gybing etc etc **Winging Course 2 - RYA - Improve Your Wingsurf (Intermediate) (3 Hours) AM Session 09.30 to 12.30, PM Session 13.00 to 16.00 Activity Overview - Build confidence and take your wingsurfing skills to the next level—master upwind sailing, tacking, and gybing. A practical session to improve your Winging confidence. Improve your Upwind ability, hold a course & make progress to Windward. Enhance your Tacking & Gybing skills – turn without transitioning via the Neutral Position & control power. What you’ll learn - Sailing towards the wind Maintaining Power into our Gybes. Powering the Wing on exits. First Tacks Introduction to Pumping to increase speed Theory - Points of sail, basic Rules of the Road, relationship of CoE to CoLR. This is a 3-hour course - Start 09.30 Finish 12.30. Max 4 people per course. Please arrive 20 mins prior to start to allow time to Check In, confirm Health Declarations and change prior to start of the activity. Prerequisite: Competent with Learn to Wingsurf skills (You've practiced before moving on!) Youths – min 15 years old What to Bring: An old pair of trainers that you don’t mind getting wet, or wetsuit boots/shoes Swim wear for underneath a wetsuit. Suitable clothing for over a wetsuit for standing outside in. A towel & swimwear Your own wetsuit– sorry we don’t provide these ( full legs, spring/autumn 3mm+ neoprene, summer 2mm+ neoprene) Lunch & Drink (No catering on Saturdays & not every Sunday) What we provide: A Certificate Card where applicable Wingsurfing Kit Safety/Coach Boats Buoyancy Aid
