Wingfoil Coaching (1 Day) So, you’ve now i) Had a shot at your Wing foil First Flights course ii) It’s likely that you’ve experienced the first feel of the foil lifting beneath you partnered with a first sensation of balancing over the foil – but it’s very short lived. This is a further opportunity to receive coaching from a boat plus the “upwind shuttle service”. Session Framework If you know where you’re struggling – great. We can give you some further tips to work on. If you’re unsure of where you’re struggling, we’ll take a quick look at everyone’s Winging skills on the water for 20 mins to give us a guide as to what areas you need to work on to build your skills to achieve flight with more confidence. The content of this day will be determined by you, what you and the group want to achieve. Your prior ability and the weather conditions on the day will have relevance to what we can coach. Our aim for this 1 Day or ½ Day of coaching is for you to go away with at least one key improvement. Either a break through that you achieve on the day or something you learn for continued practise. Weather & Dependencies For Dinghy & Windsurf we’ll endeavour to cover the syllabus across the time period whatever the wind strength. For Wingsurf – we need a minimum of 10knots of wind. For Wingfoil we need a minimum of 12knots of wind to generate enough speed to foil. Rollovers We may need to postpone your session. In such a case we’ll attempt to replan for a mutually convenient time for Students & Instructor(s) & Crucially a Positive Forecast. If this fails a refund will be given. An initial Forecast begins to emerge at 1 week ahead and becomes more reliable at 2 Days ahead. Weather Apps - the sailors most used tools, just a couple of popular examples…….
