Service Description

Wingsurf Taster Session – Youths & Adult 09.30 to 13.00 or 13.30 to 16.30 Get a feel for Wing Control even before you get wet on a full beginner course. Learn about the equipment, wind awareness, flipping the wing, stabilize the wing in the neutral position, move the wing above your head to the start position, let the wing float in the breeze, learn how to 'pull in' to feel an increase in power. Then the tricky bit - learn how to guide the wing to direct power to drive you forward. Practice these skills whilst running across the wind on land. Feel how the wind changes when you move. Finish off with a short demonstration of how you can do the most basic turn on a board that has no rudder - 'the static turn'. Session Framework These are a series of practical exercises using a Wing under instruction whilst on the land. There'll be a group of people taking it in turns to practice the drills, therefore the number of drills practiced will depend on the number of participants. The drills cover the skills you'd use on the water to sail across the wind (towards 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock) , turnaround and sail back in the opposite direction.
